Maintains records of matters involving persons under the age of 18, including Delinquency, Dependency, Adoption, and Children/Families in Need of Services.


The Juvenile Department maintains records of matters involving persons under the age of 18. The following are types of cases handled through the Juvenile Division:

  • Delinquency
  • Dependency
  • Termination of Parental Rights (pursuant to F.S. Ch. 39)
  • Adoption (resulting from F.S. Ch. 39)
  • Removal of Disability of Non-Age (Emancipation)
  • Children in Need of Services (CINS)
  • Family in Need of Services (FINS)


Juvenile records are non-public. Release of any information regarding a juvenile is limited and may only be obtained by appropriate parties to a case pursuant to Chapters 39 and 985 of the Florida Statutes. A party must present proper identification in order to obtain information and/or copies of juvenile's records.

Any amount of Fines, Fees or Costs assessed by the court that remains unpaid after 90 days, will be turned over to a collection agency pursuant to Florida Statutes 28.246 and 938.29. Additional fees of 40% to the collections agency will be incurred at the time of submission. If your case has been turned over to collections, you must contact Municipal Services Bureau or Linebarger Goggan, Blair & Sampson, LLP. You will be required to remit payment for any unpaid balance plus the collection fee.
